Comporta
This Comporta Style summer house is the Portuguese retreat for a foreign family that fell in love with the southern coast of Lisbon
To combine a Comporta style house with Mexican vernacular heritage, one can blend the two styles by incorporating earthy, natural materials that complement the landscape, such as rustic wood, stone, and adobe. The use of bright, bold colors and patterns in textiles, pottery, and artwork, can bring a sense of vibrancy and liveliness to the space and reflect Mexican heritage. Adding elements of outdoor living spaces, such as courtyards, patios, and verandas, can also enhance the feeling of connectedness to nature that is found in Comporta design. Additionally, incorporating traditional architectural features such as arched doorways, and wrought-iron details can bring a distinctly Mexican flair to the Comporta style house. By combining these elements, one can create a unique, beautiful, and functional space that blends the best of both styles.
