The renovation of a rental flat in Madrid was the motivation for creating an urban refuge inspired by the world. The main focus was on the renovation of materials, finishes and decoration, with a focus on eclectic and resistant elements. To natural materials – such as wood, stone and metal – we added the comfort of textiles and warm neutral colours, always with hints of saturated colour in the details. In the various rooms we have created windows of escape to the world, whether in works of art that evoke places and cultures, or in natural materials and manufactured objects. In one of the busiest areas in the centre of Madrid, we have created a cosmopolitan haven that doesn’t forget its place, but rather escapes from it.
